The US healthcare system generates over $765bn worth of medical waste every single year. That's larger than the national GDP of the Netherlands. Large hospital systems and healthcare practices throw away or incinerate hundreds of millions of dollar worth of surplus medical supplies in perfect usable condition EVERY YEAR. Causes for surplus include manufacturing overruns, cosmetically damaged packaging, inventory management oversight, seasonal changes, etc etc. Medinas is a data-driven exchange platform that helps healthcare organizations monetize their surplus for a significantly higher % on the dollar, creating double sided cost savings and helping save lives.
